You’ll hear many people say that having large dogs means you can’t have smaller pets living in the same house. We hear so many horror stories about large dogs playing too rough with smaller animals or getting aggressive with them. However, most of these stories are isolated cases, which only happen to large dogs that weren’t socialized with smaller animals.
A 135-pound French Mastiff named George is what we would describe as a gentle giant. Despite being a large dog, George is super gentle, especially with small animals. George is aware of how big he is, and he knows that playing too rough might hurt small animals and children.
George is obsessed with another animal that his mom, Lindsay Roberts. When Lindsay went out for a walk, she came across a tiny kitten sitting under the shade of a tree in a park. The kitten looked a bit lost, and Lindsay decided to say hello. The sweetness of the kitten eventually won over Lindsay and ended up finding a new forever home.
Lindsay’s family fosters animals all the time, but no other animal won over Lindsay’s heart more than the tiny kitten she found at the park. Eventually, Lindsay named the kitten Wendy and introduced little Wendy to George. It was love at first sight between Wendy and George.
Wendy wasn’t even intimidated by the huge French Mastiff. When Wendy was introduced to George, Wendy went straight towards George’s paws and cuddled with the gentle giant. George didn’t mind having Wendy cuddling with him either. George isn’t like other large dogs that get aggressive when they see small animals.
George adores little Wendy. He loves having Wendy cuddle with him, and the duo eventually bonded. Wendy loves climbing on top of George and loves to hang out under George’s body. Whenever Wendy sees George, she meows like crazy. George and Wendy follow each other around and spend a lot of time together.
According to Lindsay, Wendy came at the right time when George was feeling a little depressed because his best friend pig named Debbie passed away. Wendy brought a spark back into George’s life, and it’s apparent by the way George acts around Wendy. Wendy filled a void in George’s heart and made George feel whole again. On the other hand, George makes Wendy feel safe.
Wendy is the more energetic of the two, and she brings out the spunk in George. It’s incredible how a tiny kitten and a giant dog can become best friends. Here’s a video showing a massive dog becoming best friends with a cutest little kitten.
